Child Safety Standards
Barrmin is committed to protecting children and to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our service. This page sets out our standards and practices, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
1. Barrmin is an 18+ service
Barrmin is a social app for adults planning and recording nights out. It is rated 18+, requires an age declaration at sign-up, and is not directed at children. Accounts believed to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or conduct that sexualises, endangers, or exploits children are strictly prohibited on Barrmin. This includes such material in profiles, photos, quotes, comments, usernames, or any other user-generated content. We do not tolerate grooming, solicitation, or the sharing of CSAE material in any form.
3. How to report a child safety concern
Anyone can report suspected CSAE or child safety concerns:
- In the app: use the Report control available on user profiles, sessions and content, and the Block control to stop contact from another user.
- By email: contact will.nunan@gmail.com with the subject "Child safety report." Reports are treated as urgent.
4. How we respond
When we become aware of CSAE, we act promptly to:
- Remove the offending content;
- Suspend and terminate the accounts responsible;
- Preserve relevant information; and
- Report to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and applicable regional and national bodies, as required by law.
5. Legal compliance
Barrmin complies with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions in which it operates, and reports CSAE to the appropriate authorities.
6. Point of contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact is will.nunan@gmail.com, who is able to speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance.
